Headquartered in Gurgaon, India, CyberMedia is a specialty media and services house with five subsidiaries and two associate companies which, as a group, are engaged in publishing, market research, content outsourcing, multimedia, gaming and media education. The group has eleven publications in infotech, outsourcing, telecom, consumer electronics, and biotech areas; and an end-to-end media value chain including the Internet, events and television.

Described often as the father of Indian BPO, Raman is the closest equivalent of a serial entrepreneur in the global services domain. In the late 80s, he sold the idea of what is today called offshoring to his bosses while working at American Express. After successfully putting his ideas to work there, Raman was handpicked by GE in 1996 to build its offshore-delivery operations in India. In 2000, he set up Spectramind as a third-party BPO service provider, which soon became the number one offshore BPO company in India. After selling it to Wipro, Raman continued to manage the company until a year back, when he quit to build something new. He has recently invested in two offshoring companies in Asia, and is looking at setting up/investing in more new ventures.
Apart from being a successful business leader, Raman is considered as an opinion leader and champion of many industry-related issues.

As the Executive Director, CyberMedia India and the Editor-in-Chief, CyberMedia Publications, Shyam is responsible for overall business operations of the company. He joined the company in 1985 in its formative years and oversaw the company's growth from a start-up, addressing the information needs of the then nascent Indian IT industry, to the largest specialty publication group in South Asia. In these two decades, Shyam has handled various responsibilities that include the company's new business forays into areas in publishing such as telecom, biotech and consumer electronics; as well as to various media services such as online, television, events, market research, multimedia and education.
Shyam is also the co-founder of Scope-Plus a public service organisation, which is training over 1,400 women in literacy and vocational skills in the slums of South Delhi. Shyam came to the publishing industry with an experience in areas such as, heavy engineering and technology. He has worked with Siemens India and Eicher Group, one of India's leading corporate houses before joining CyberMedia. Shyam is an alumnus of the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi and Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kolkata.
Hoshie Ghaswalla, Managing Director, hoshieg@cybermedia.co.in
Hoshie is the Managing Director of CMP-CyberMedia LLC, the publishers of Global Services. In that capacity, he is responsible for charting the course of the company. He works closely with the editorial team to set the editorial direction for the Global Services brand.
Hoshie comes to this company from CyberMedia, where he was serving as the Chief Editor and President, Publishing, and was also managing the company's subsidiary CyberMedia Digital as its President. Hoshie joined CyberMedia in 1987, and left the company in 1996 to join Mid-Day Publications, where he set up new vistas in media and niche publishing businesses. He also launched and ran The Brief, a leading publication for the advertising industry in India. He was back with CyberMedia in 1999 as Group Editor and Vice President, Publishing of the user magazines group of the company. He was entrusted with new responsibilities such as sales and marketing, finance and accounts and events for CyberMedia's publications such as, CyberMedia Digital and Global Outsourcing.

Ed Nair, Editor, ed@cybermedia.co.in
As Editor, Ed Nair is responsible for upholding the brand values of Global Services, and creating credible content for its audience. Based in New Jersey, he manages a team of editorial staff spread across different locations in the U.S.A. and India, and also oversees the U.S. operations.
Ed has spent 17 years in technology research and media industries, handling a variety of functions which include industry research, sales and marketing, print and online content, and general management. In prior roles, he was the editor for enterprise computing at Dataquest, India’s leading IT publication and a senior analyst with IDC India. He won the Polestar Award for Best IT Journalist in India in 1998.
Ed has been tracking the global outsourcing industry since the early nineties when he was part of the World Bank funded study for the Department of Electronics, Govt. of India on software exports. His direct exposure to the outsourcing industry includes : A project at Tibco Software, Palo Alto where he worked hands-on at offshoring global marketing activities and advising First American Corporation, Phoenix on managing organizational change in large scale outsourcing operations.
Ed holds a graduate degree with honors in electronics engineering from University of Mumbai and an MBA from Thunderbird School for Global Management, AZ.

Allan Schweyer. Allan is the President and Executive Director of the Human Capital Institute, and author of Talent Management Systems. He regularly contributes articles to Global Services in the area of talent management in the sourcing domain.
Arindam Bose. As part of the emerging countries’ development initiative using the globalization of services model, Global Services is enlisting technology policy experts as advisers. Mr. Arindam Bose, Chairman of Maitlamo a Tswelelopele (meaning Commitment to progress) (Pty) Ltd. Botswana, a consortium of independent consultants working on ‘Strategy, Transformation and ICT’ for Environment, Governance and Performance Management sectors; has come on board Cyber Media as Research Adviser from July 2008. He will be working from Botswana and India.
In his previous assignments, he worked as Adviser Strategy, Department of IT, Ministry of Communications, Science and Technology, Government of Botswana (DIT, MCST) (January 2001 to January 2007). Before migrating to Botswana he was the Chief Executive DOEACC, the National ICT Education Accreditation and Examination Agency of India (1999 to 2000) and Advisor Technology, Cabinet Secretariat Government of India. (1994 to 1999). Mr. Arindam Bose holds a Bachelor of Technology from IIT, New Delhi, India-1969 and a Fellow of the Institution of Electrical and Telecommunications Engineers, India-1986.
Lori Blackman. Lori is the Founder and President of DNL Global. She, too, writes for Global Services on issues of human capital and talent management in the sourcing domain.
Shyamanuja Das. Shyamanuja pioneered outsourcing journalism in India in 1998 with bpOrbit, a newsletter for the domestic Indian BPO industry. Until recently, he was associated with Global Services for one year as its online editor.
