Survey Lends Succour to IT
To put the record straight, early indications definitely show a slowdown in IT spending growth in 2008. But then many expect the long-term outsourcing story to remain intact. A survey of CIOs in the fourth quarter indicated a slowdown in IT spending growth for 2008 with just a 2.5 per cent year-on-year hike in the budgets, a far cry from the 5.5 per cent seen in 2007. However, preliminary results from a follow-up survey in early March indicated a change in mood among CIOs with a three per cent increase in budgets
