Service Desk Institute (SDI), the leading professional organization for IT service and support industry, launched its operations in India in association with Prometric, the leading global provider of comprehensive testing and assessment services. This collaboration aims to enhance the customer experience while dealing with the service desk executives. With Prometric providing the much-needed technical training to the employees, SDI aims at improving their communication skills through extensive training sessions.
“Prometric does a lot of technical training for organizations such as Cisco and Microsoft. Apart from training the technical talent pool, Prometric also conduct trainings at various schools and universities. To this entire process, we will bring the soft skills. This way the technical people can communicate better with the customers. Thus, strengthening our — SDI and Prometric — offerings,” says Howard Kendall, Founder, SDI.
SDI will offer three levels of qualifications (training and certifications) — SDI Service Desk Foundation, SDI Service Desk Analyst and SDI Service Desk Manager — at all Prometric centers across India.
