One of Big Six providers Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) has won this category due to its immense focus on human-capital development.

Just a sample of how CSC incentivized its employees: If you refer a potential employee who gets recruited into CSC India, then based on a lucky draw you could get a car along with your bonus.

“We have completed two acquisitions — Covansys and FCG [First Consulting Group] — in the recent past, which have not just been driven by volumes, but have added strong industry and domain knowledge,” says Padmaja Krishnan, Director, Marketing, Planning and Research, CSC India. "We have also increased our reach in India, with a presence in seven locations and over 16,000 employee base. And, the future will see us bullish on meeting the objectives set forth as part of the 'Project Accelerate' strategy."

As per Covansys acquisition, CSC acquired the firm for $34 per share in an all-cash transaction in mid 2007. Under the terms, Covansys operates as a separate business unit of CSC, and is now known as Covansys, a CSC Company. As per FCG’s acquisition completed in Jan. ’08, CSC acquired the firms for $13.00 per share in an all-cash transaction. In 2007, CSC bagged five IT Outsourcing deals, which were larger than $200 million. These five deals alone amounted to more than $2 billion. Last year CSC’s three biggest deal were awarded by clients from the public sector. In fact, CSC celebrated its new year with a $554 million outsourcing contract renewal awarded by NASA.
