EDS continues its focus on operational excellence and productivity improvements, and in 2006 it achieved productivity improvements of approximately one billion dollar in the areas of process improvements, labor-cost management and supply chain management.
Moreover, EDS acquired a majority stake in MphasiS BFL and grew its best shore business by adding 20,000 employees in India at the end of 2006.
EDS delivers strong hosting, workplace (desktop), storage, security and privacy, and communication services that enable clients to drive down their total cost of ownership and increase the productivity of their IT environment across the globe. The company has global delivery capabilities, with a presence in more than 60 countries.
“Approximately 56% (about $12 billion) of EDS’ revenue is a result of our IT infrastructure business,” says the EDS spokesperson.
