globalservicesmedia.com has got a new design; more importantly it has got new types of content, which we believe our readers — global sourcers of services — will be able to use to take informed decisions on the strategies and operations of sourcing services from around the world.
At this portal on global sourcing, you can search for IT and BPO service providers from across the world, servicing multiple industries. We have an active database of 1,000 providers, and will continue to update this list regularly. We also invite service providers to send in details of their companies to be put up at the Provider Search, or to update any information already in the database.
You can also search for the most recent (and archived) global outsourcing deals between customer companies and service providers. Our deals database starts from September 2006, and logs almost 700 deals. We continue to build upon this, adding new deals as soon as they happen.
The third search at globalservicesmedia.com is Events Search where you can search for upcoming events on global sourcing — conferences, seminars, and exhibitions — from around the world.
You can reach the Provider, Deal and Event Searches from any page on the website — look out for the magnifying glass icons at the top of the pages.
The other new, and unique, feature at globalservicesmedia.com is the Global Services Blog. This is the only blog (that we know of) that is open to ALL. Anyone with a stake in global sourcing — customers of services, providers, consultants, analysts, researchers, journalists — can blog at the Global Services Blog. You are invited to not just read our blogs, but also speak out!
globalservicesmedia.com also brings a weekly newsletter to subscribers, covering the week’s news and happenings. We plan to offer a daily newsletter soon — wait for the launch announcement.
And, of course, globalservicesmedia.com will continue to bring you in-depth and extensively researched articles, written by our editorial staff and by industry experts. Our editors will also aggregate content from credible external sources to ensure that you do not have to go to multiple sites to get information on global sourcing.
And, as always, we are listening. Do write to me at juhib@cybermedia.co.in with bouquets, brickbats … and suggestions J
