Eversheds, a U.K.-based law firm, has awarded a $57.79 million IT outsourcing (ITO) deal to Computacenter, a U.K.-based IT services and infrastructure systems provider. The agreement entails services such as service desk and desk-side support, and data center hosting and management. The duration of the deal has not been disclosed.
Under the terms of the deal, Computacenter will take over the management and hosting of Eversheds’ data-center operations. In addition, the company will consolidate Eversheds’ existing data centers to only two of its facilities. In addition, about 79 IT professionals of Eversheds have been transferred to Computacenter’s IT infrastructure services division (Computacenter Services) under the TUPE regulations as a part of the deal. According to Malcolm Simms, the IT Director at Eversheds, the company’s remaining free-up IT professionals will now be able to focus on new projects.
