The City of Roanoke, Virginia, has awarded an Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO) deal to MFX, a U.S.-based IT-services provider. The duration and financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Under the terms of the deal, MFX will manage the mainframe processor of the city from its data center in Roanoke and will provide 24x7 disaster recovery services to the City of Roanoke. In addition, it will provide expert IT consulting services related to IT hardware, software and back-up/recovery to the City of Roanoke. The deal will enable the City to substantially reduce its annual IT operational costs by using MFX’s IT infrastructure and staff.
