The U.S. Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and Accenture have inked a 10-year, $252 million IT-services deal. The contract has a base period of five years (valued at $155 million) and one five-year extension option (valued at $97 million).

Under the terms of the deal, Accenture will provide business systems integration, systems engineering and applications management services, to DLA for its various enterprise systems. Accenture will be responsible for upgrading several logistics systems of the agency into a single integrated system and implementing commercial-off-the-shelf software replacing its existing legacy software systems.
