The BBC has selected Xansa as its preferred supplier for its $159.3 million Finance and Accounting (F&A) services deal.
The deal will cost the BBC around $15.9 million per year over the next 10 years but will generate savings of $37.4 million per year.
The BBCs F&A services will be housed from a mix of locations in the U.K. and India, customer-support services remaining in the U.K.
Xansa will provide purchasing and sales transaction processing, artist and contributor payments, financial management and project accounting, payroll and expenses services.
The BBCs F&A services are currently run by EDS subsidiary Medas. The deal is expected to be signed in November, with Xansa taking over the responsibility for the services in July 2007.
