AT&T has won a five-million dollar networking contract with Sterling Bank, based in Texas.
Under the terms of the five-year contract, AT&T will provide a Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS)-based Internet Protocol Virtual Private Network (IP VPN) solution. The solution will consolidate 40 branches of the bank, situated in Houston, Dallas and San Antonio, along with its corporate office in Houston and a data center in Central Texas.
In addition, the company will provide Internet access, teleconferencing and voice services. As a part of the agreement, the company will also provide its OPT-E-MAN managed metropolitan optical transport services, a switched Ethernet service, which connects local-area networks within the same metropolitan area.
