Fujitsu Services and Xansa both providers of outsourced IT services to the U.K. public sector have announced major contract wins.
Xansa has sealed a five-year, £27 million ($47.10 million) deal to provide an Internet services platform for three government departments. It will be used for Directgov, the publics one-stop shop for public services information and now part of the COI; the Department of Healths corporate web service; and several services for the Department of Education and Skills.
Separately, Fujitsu Services has won a BPO contract with Northern Irelands Department of Finance and Personnel.
Under the deal, worth £185 million ($322 million) over 15 years, Fujitsu will provide an electronic human resource system for 28,000 civil servants.
