There was a major double strike for U.K. business-process outsourcer Capita Group, which bagged a customer-services support deal with electronics retail chain DSG Intl., as well as a landmark Human Resources Outsourcing (HRO) contract with the BBC. The latter announces Capita’s arrival as a serious player in the HRO space, where it faces competition from the likes of IT-services firms including IBM, EDS and Accenture, as well as specialists such as Hewitt Associates.
