Vivek Paul, partner and managing director for venture capital firm Texas Pacific Group, will deliver the keynote address at the 2006 Global Services Conference, on Thursday Feb. 2, 2006.

The annual Global Services 100 Awards will also be announced at the conference.

This conference brings outsourcing industry thought leaders together for peer-group discussions, workshops and live case studies for sessions on sourcing, governance, security, privacy and risk management. The annual Global Services 100 Awards will also be announced at the conference.

“I can’t think of a better investment of time than a day at the Global Services Conference to learn new strategies, successful best practices and practical real-world experience. The hands-on sessions and interactive program provide an excellent education for anyone looking to get an edge in the increasingly competitive global services industry,” said Mr. Paul.

Vivek Paul is widely acclaimed as a pioneering expert on Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO), corporate management and global services issues, having been the former vice chair and CEO of global information technology, product engineering and business process services segments for Wipro. Under his leadership, Wipro grew from revenues of less than $150 million to more than $1.4 billion with 50,000 employees. BusinessWeek named Mr. Paul one of the best managers in the world in 2003, Time ranked him among the top global business influencers in 2004 and Barron’s named him one of the top 30 most respected global CEOs in 2005. Mr. Paul joined Texas Pacific Group this year as partner and managing director.

“The 2006 Global Services Conference is attracting the top thought leaders in our field, and with Vivek Paul’s participation -- kicking the conference off with his keynote address -- our attendees are promised an exciting mix of business solutions and visionary ideas,” said Rusty Weston, conference chair and editor in chief of Global Services magazine. The monthly publication, which debuts at the conference, is co-produced in India and the United States in a joint venture between CMP Media LLC and CyberMedia LLC.

neoIT, a leading offshore strategy and advisory firm, is a conference content partner. neoIT’s CEO Atul Vashistha will lead sourcing lifecycle sessions designed to help novices to experts learn the management discipline of services globalization. The Global Services 100 awards will be announced at the conference along with the Global Services 100 study results.

The 2006 Global Services Conference will help attendees understand the dynamics of offshore outsourcing, learn how to seize opportunities to expand into new markets and gain a competitive edge. The conference will explore how executives can assess their organization’s core skills, determine the ‘make’ versus ‘buy’ paradigm and understand the issues around sourcing and managing service provider relationships.

Sessions at the conference will cover:

Strategies to determine when to hire internally or outsource people, business processes and technology

Gaining the ‘lifecycle’ skills and leveraging best practices to source and manage global service providers

Discover which technology can help to ‘flatten’ the global playing filed and enable seamless global services

Assessing your organization’s readiness to tackle regulatory compliance issues

Evaluating the viability and maturity of critical areas, including Knowledge Process Outsourcing and the use of Six Sigma

Many opportunities to network with peers and exchange best practices
