A recent survey conducted by Transparency International, the civil society organization leading the fight against corruption, unveils the level of perception about the corruption levels as seen by businessmen and analysts in 163 countries around the world. Finland, Iceland and New Zealand stand at the first position with a score of 9.6 out of 10 in the Corruption Perceptions Index 2006 (See Table 1). The level in most of the outsourcing countries, which count among the top outsourcing locations, including Singapore, Australia, Canada, the U.K., France, Ireland, Chile and the U.S.A. ranges between 9.5 and 7.7, while the perception levels in Mexico, Ghana, Egypt, India and China is at a score of 3.3.
