Oracle is a strong 13-year-old offering for the company. We do anything and everything in Oracle implementation, integration, support and upgrade, says Sanjay Khendry, VP, Sierra Atlantic.
Clients of Sierra Atlantic testify to its deep Oracle expertise. Sierra Atlantic was the best choice for us because of its deep R&D relationship with Oracle, says Hiroshi Shimano, GM, IT, Toray Industries. For us, Sierra Atlantic implemented an Oracle ERP solution consisting of nine modules, addressing areas, including purchasing, general ledger, accounts receivable, payable, cash management, fixed assets, costing and inventory, he adds.
Financial services is a relatively new area of business for them. The company recently announced the expansion of its financial-services offerings in the areas of customer-data integration, business process-based integration and privacy-related solutions.
The company has a huge clientele, including Amkor, BP, Clopay, Ciena, GE, HP, Kelloggs, Kmart, Toray Industries and The Trane Company. One of its most recent customer acquisitions has been Malaysias largest port Port of Tanjung Pelapas. In this million-dollar deal, Sierra Atlantic will implement Oracles e-Business Suite for the port.
Its core business of enterprise-application implementation, integration and related services currently account for more than 50% of its revenue, with product development adding 35% and integration adding the rest.
Headquartered in Silicon Valley, the company delivers from India, Singapore and the U.S.A., and has a headcount of 900 employees worldwide. The majority of its staff (750) is based out of the companys three centers in Hyderabad, India.
Like most Indian IT service providers, the majority of Sierra Atlantics revenues (75%) come from the U.S.A. Europe brings in about 20%, with Asia Pacific and Middle Eastern countries contributing the rest.
Though a late beginner in Europe, the company is now targeting the U.K., France, Denmark and Sweden.
European customers provide good references for us. In fact, we have won 34 deals in Europe in the last six months due to customer references, says Khendry. |
